It is always good to record from door to door if possible. Evidence should frame the surroundings, for example, if the principal traveled in a vehicle to a venue, then frame the vehicle parked outside that venue, gather the evidence from multiple angles if possible. If you are recording the evidence in video, then take a walk around the vehicle and try to capture as much of the surroundings to prove the location beyond doubt, include identification references such as registration plate, record the time the vehicle is at the location, the chain of evidence and accuracy of the investigation can change the outcome of possible legal proceedings.
